Yaguchi Chikushinsai I (active circa late Taisho to early Showa periods) died circa 1982, when Chikushinsai II succeeded.

Chikushinsai II was born in 1939 (Showa 14), Kobe City, Hyogo prefecture, and succeeded as Chikushinsai II in Showa 57 (1982). In 1997, Chikushinsai II often made works for the Urasenke School of Tea, and wrote an essay for the Tanko Magazine Issue Number 51 (Urasenke School of Tea Journal) about flower baskets.
