Hiroshi Kaneyasu is an artist from Kanazawa (Ichikawa Prefecture), a city renowned for its tradition of lacquer work for over a century.

Hiroshi is part of a young generation of artists who are experimenting with urushi, a vegetable lacquer very popular in Japan.

The organic and mineral shapes of his sculptures reveal colors with unreal hues. Like the Northern Lights covered in red, his works intrigue as much as they captivate.
