Ikazuchi means “thunder” literally. Used in the play “Raiden” of the noh danse as the god of thunder.The note on the backside of the mask says “Deme Tōun copied a mask of Ikazuchi possessed by Konbaru family.” This powerful mask with a terrible look is protected in a remarkable storage box in maki-e lacquer.
